New dwellings with double-digit increase!
In the January-July 2019 period, 110.2 thousand new dwellings were commissioned, 10.9 percent more than in the same period of the last year - the Central Statistical Office informed on August 21.
"During the first seven months of 2019, developers commissioned 68.2 thousand apartments (15.8% more than in the same period of the last year), followed by individual investors - 39.0 thousand dwellings, 2.3 percent more than in 2018."- the Central Statistical Office announced in preliminary data.
CSO indicated that a total of 97.2 percent was built under these forms of construction of all completed apartments. Fewer apartments than a year ago were completed in cooperative housing (1114 against 1197); in other forms (communal, social rent and company) 1,936 apartments, 60% more y-t-y.
CSO pointed out that both in construction for sale or rent, and in individual construction, there was an increase of 3.7 percent, respectively and 4.4 percent in relation to 2018 'Fewer dwellings in which construction has begun was observed in cooperative housing (1228 dwellings against 1583) and in other forms of construction (1708 versus 1766),' we read.
According to the Central Statistical Office of Poland, at the end of July 2019, 822.8 thousand dwellings were under construction. dwellings, 3.9 percent more than in the same period last year.
